This April, Space Reins Supreme with Fresh New Series and Brilliant Season Finales

  • Two epic back-to-back supernatural season finales land on Monday, April 8 with BEING HUMAN (9 p.m. ET), followed byTHE ALMIGHTY JOHNSONS (10 p.m. ET).
  • ROBOT COMBAT LEAGUE lands a larger-than-life season finale knock-out Tuesday, April 23 at 10 p.m. ET.
  • All month long, catch new episodes of the timey-wimey space adventure DOCTOR WHO (Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET), followed by the Space Original Series ORPHAN BLACK (9 p.m. ET), and THE NERDIST (Sundays at 7 p.m. ET).

Monday, April 1

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “One Man’s Treasure”

A man’s body is discovered in an apartment building’s garbage chute and two women surface to identify the deceased – his wife and his fiancée. Castle (Nathan Fillion, Firefly) and Beckett’s (Stana Katic, Quantum of Solace) investigation uncovers the man’s complex double life.

9 p.m. – BEING HUMAN – “Always a Bridesmaid, Never Alive”

Sally (Meaghan Rath, Flashpoint) prepares to battle Donna (Amy Aquino, The Mentalist), Josh (Sam Huntington, Fanboys) and Nora (Kristen Hager, A Little Bit Zombie) get ready for their wedding, and Aidan (Sam Witwer, The Walking Dead) juggles his relationship with Kat (Deanna Russo, The Human Condition) while preparing for Kenny’s (Connor Price, Alphas) “re-birth.”

10 p.m. – THE ALMIGHTY JOHNSONS – “You Call This the Real World?”

Axl (Emmett Skilton, Home By Christmas) and Gaia’s (Keisha Castle-Hughes, Legend of The Seeker) escape from the real world takes a turn for the surreal, while Mike (Timothy Balme, Nothing Trivial) discovers that his world is not his alone, and Dawn’s (Fern Sutherland, Go Girls) world comes to an unexpected end of the line.

Tuesday, April 2

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “The Fifth Bullet”

An amnesiac is the key witness to an art dealer’s murder, but can’t recall what happened. Castle and Beckett’s probe hits another snag when they discover a bullet is missing from the crime scene.

Wednesday, April 3

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “A Rose For Everafter”

While investigating the murder of a bridesmaid, Castle learns the bride is a former girlfriend (Alyssa Milano, Mistresses). Their reunion prompts his ex to have second thoughts about her impending marriage, and causes Beckett to question Castle’s objectivity with the case.

Thursday, April 4

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Sucker Punch”

Beckett and Castle’s investigation into an Irish mobster’s death reveals a complicated turf war and a possible link between the killer and the murder of Beckett’s mother.

Friday, April 5

6:30 p.m. – INNERSPACE: SPRING BLOCKBUSTERS *Special Premiere*

It’s all about spring’s action-packed blockbuster movies as INNERSPACE takes a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most anticipated films of the season.

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “The Third Man”

A vacationing family return home to find a supposed squatter dead in their daughter’s bed, and the ensuing murder probe unearths a million-dollar heist. Meanwhile, Castle tries to hide an article from Beckett that suggests they are an item.

Saturday, April 6

8 p.m. – DOCTOR WHO – “The Rings of Akhaten”

Clara (Jenna-Louise Colman, Dancing on The Edge) wants to see something awesome, so the Doctor (Matt Smith, Womb) whisks her off to the inhabited rings of the planet Akhaten, where the Festival of Offerings is in full swing. Clara meets the young Queen of Years as the pilgrims and natives ready for the ceremony. But something is stirring in the pyramid, and a sacrifice will be demanded.

9 p.m. – ORPHAN BLACK – “Instinct”

With a body in her car and nowhere to turn, Sarah (Tatiana Maslany, Picture Day) is forced to continue her con and earn “Beth” (Maslany) a second chance on the force. But with a killer on her tail, her only hope of finding answers lies with another twin, Alison (Maslany).

10 p.m. – THE INVASION (2007) *Movie Premiere*

As a Washington psychiatrist (Nicole Kidman) unearths the origin of an alien epidemic, she also discovers her son (Jackson Bond, Memorial Day) might be the only way to stop it. Also starring Daniel Craig (Skyfall), and Jeremy Northam (White Heat).

Sunday, April 7

7 p.m. – THE NERDIST

THE WALKING DEAD creator Robert Kirkman (Invincible) and actor Michael Rooker (Archer) join host Chris Hardwick in studio along with celebrity correspondent and DOCTOR WHO alum Karen Gillan, and comedian Kyle Kinane (Bob’s Burgers).

Monday, April 8

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Suicide Squeeze”

A popular former pro baseball player is murdered after travelling to Cuba on a goodwill mission. Meanwhile, Alexis’ (Molly C. Quinn, Winx Club: Enchantix) genealogy project has Castle thinking about the father he never knew.

9 p.m. – BEING HUMAN – “Ruh-Roh!” *Season Finale*

Josh and Nora face Liam (Xander Berkeley, Nikita) for the final time. Sally deals with the consequences of her showdown with Donna, and Aidan must deal with Kenny now that he’s turned into an abomination.

10 p.m. – THE ALMIGHTY JOHNSONS – “Does This Look Like Asgard?” *Season Finale*

On the day of Gaia’s actual 21st birthday, it sucks to be mortal and being a God isn’t exactly plain-sailing either.

Tuesday, April 9

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “The Mistress Always Spanks Twice”

A woman’s body is found hanging from bondage cuffs and covered in caramel sauce. The investigation leads Beckett and Castle into New York’s sexual-domination scene.

Wednesday, April 10

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Tick, Tick, Tick…”

Beckett and Castle work with a skilled federal agent (Dana Delany, Body of Proof) to track down a clever serial killer.

Thursday, April 11

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Boom!”

Castle and Beckett work with the FBI to find a serial killer.

Friday, April 12

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Wrapped Up in Death”

A museum curators’ death leads Castle and Beckett to a mummy’s curse. Castle worries that he may also fall victim to the curse after he peeks at forbidden artefacts.

Saturday, April 13

8 p.m. – DOCTOR WHO – “Cold War”

The Doctor and Clara land on a damaged Russian Submarine in 1983 as it spirals out of control into the ocean depths. An alien creature is loose on board, having escaped from a block of Arctic ice. With tempers flaring and a cargo of nuclear weapons on board, it’s not just the crew but the whole of humanity at stake!

9 p.m. – ORPHAN BLACK – “Variation Under Nature”

Rocked by the revelation that she and her fellow “Orphans” are clones, Sarah just wants to get back her money and skip town. But Sarah’s ruse stretches to breaking when the cops find the body she buried and put her on the case.

Monday, April 15

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “The Late Shaft”

A talk-show host (Tom Bergeron, Dancing With The Stars) dies hours after warning Castle of his impending fate, and Castle must convince Beckett that the death wasn’t from natural causes. Meanwhile, Castle is charmed by a sexy actress (Kelly Carlson, Ghostfacers).

Tuesday, April 16

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Den of Thieves”

Beckett falls for handsome robbery detective Tom Demming (Michael Trucco,  Revenge) who’s assigned to work with her and Castle as they probe the murder of a thief. Meanwhile, it’s learned Esposito (Jon Huertas, Miss Dial) has a close tie to the chief suspect.

Wednesday, April 17

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Food to Die For”

Beckett and Castle investigate the death of a big-name chef found frozen in a restaurant’s kitchen. Meanwhile, Castle finds himself attracted to the restaurant’s owner, who just happens to be an old friend of Beckett’s.

Thursday, April 18

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Overkill”

Castle and Det. Demming vie for Beckett’s attention as the two men scramble to solve a robbery-homicide case, each using their own unique methods.

Friday, April 19

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “A Deadly Game” *Season 2 Finale*

Castle and Beckett investigate the apparent assassination of a covert agent and deal with their feelings for each other.

Saturday, April 20

8 p.m. – DOCTOR WHO – “Hide”

Clara and the Doctor arrive at Caliburn House, a haunted mansion on a desolate moor. Within its walls, a ghost hunting Professor and a gifted psychic are searching for the Witch of the Well. Her apparition appears throughout the history of the building, but is she really a ghost? And what is chasing her?

9 p.m. – ORPHAN BLACK – “Effects of External Conditions”

Sarah realizes that the Orphans’ survival is going to take more than police work, but tracking the killer threatens Sarah’s long-awaited reunion with her daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler, Alphas). With time running out, Sarah and the killer are heading for a showdown that threatens to expose her to Art (Kevin Hanchard, Republic of Doyle), and undermine her ruse as a cop.

10 p.m. – BLADE (1998) *Movie Premiere*

Wesley Snipes (Gallowwalkers) stars as a half-vampire, half-mortal man who protects humans by slaying evil vampires. Also starring Stephen Dorff (Officer Down).

12:30 a.m. – BLADE II (2002) *Movie Premiere*

Blade (Wesley Snipes) forms an uneasy alliance with the vampire council in order to combat the Reaper vampires who feed on other vampires. Also starring Kris Kristofferson (Midnight Stallion).

Sunday, April 21

10 p.m. – UNDER SIEGE (1992) *Movie Premiere*

Casey Ryback (Steven Segal, True Justice), a former Navy SEAL and now the personal cook to a Navy Captain (Patrick O’Neal,For the Boys), is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they seize control of a US Navy battleship. Also starring Gary Busey (Mr. Box Office), and Tommy Lee Jones.

12:30 a.m. – UNDER SIEGE 2: DARK TERRITORY (1995) *Movie Premiere*

Now retired, Casey Ryback (Seagal) hops on a train from Colorado to LA with his niece Sarah (Katherine Heigl, One for the Money) for a vacation. Early into the trip, terrorists board the train and use it as a mobile headquarters to hijack a top secret destructive US satellite.

Monday, April 22

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “A Deadly Affair” *Season 3 Premiere*

In the third season premiere, Beckett finds Castle at a murder scene holding a gun and is forced to arrest him despite his claims of innocence.

Tuesday, April 23

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “He’s Dead, She’s Dead”

Beckett and Castle investigate the murder of a psychic medium, leading the duo into an intense battle about the profession. On the home front, Martha (Susan Sullivan, The Nine) weighs a marriage proposal from Chet, which forces Martha and Castle to evaluate love.

10 p.m. – ROBOT COMBAT LEAGUE *Season Finale*

The final teams duke it out to become the first team to hold the title of Robot Combat League champions in this rock’em sock’em epic season finale.

Wednesday, April 24

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Under the Gun”

Beckett and Castle investigate the murder of a bail bondsman. Meanwhile, Castle comes to grips with Alexis entering the “wild child phase,” which Castle fears greatly after learning about a few of Beckett’s choice behaviours when she was a teen.

Thursday, April 25

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Punked”

Castle suggests time travel as a possible element in the murder of a mathematician shot by a 200-year-old bullet. A tricked-out DeLorean and a suspect in Victorian-era garb help support his theory, but a link to a secret society may explain everything.

Friday, April 26

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Anatomy of a Murder”

An extra body found in a casket during a funeral leads Beckett and Castle to investigate the love affairs of doctors at a local hospital.

Saturday, April 27

9 p.m. – ORPHAN BLACK – “Conditions of Existence”

When terrifying evidence suggests the Orphans are part of an ongoing experiment, Sarah’s suspicions turn to Paul (Dylan Bruce, NCIS), Beth’s boyfriend. Her probing inadvertently triggers Paul’s own investigation, bringing him dangerously close to the truth. Meanwhile, paranoid Alison piles on a whole new level of complication.

10 p.m. – SEASON OF THE WITCH (2011) *Movie Premiere*

A 14th-century Crusader (Nicholas Cage) returns to find his home devastated by the Black Plague, which a beleaguered church deems is the cause of a witch (Claire Foy, White Heat). The church commands the witch be transported to a remote abbey where the monks can perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.

12 a.m. – THE WICKER MAN (2006) *Movie Premiere*

Sheriff Edward Malus (Nicolas Cage) investigates the disappearance of a young girl from a small island. He soon discovers there is a larger mystery to solve among the island’s secretive, neo-pagan community. Also starring Leelee Sobieski (Branded).

Monday, April 29

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “3XK”

A serial murderer called the Triple Killer strikes again after disappearing four years earlier, and Beckett and Castle scramble to catch him before he takes more victims.

Tuesday, April 30

7 p.m. – CASTLE – “Almost Famous”

A male stripper dressed as a cop is found murdered after Castle and Beckett respond to an officer-down call, and the probe focuses on the victim’s life as a struggling actor.
